Don’t know where to start-or more importantly how to finish?

Welcome to Virtual Organizing!

      Got clutter? Mental, physical, temporal?

Virtual Organizing is the same as In-Person organizing…but instead of meeting in your home we meet via telephone or Internet allowing for a higher level of skill transfer.

But don’t dismay we walk you through the whole process! We never leave you alone until that AFTER photo!

You tell us what you want, your life dreams and goals, needs and abilities and we show you how to get there by helping you shape your environment and habits; sort, edit, assign, contain, maintain – in that order!

      #1

We meet via video/voice conferencing software like Zoom so we can learn about your project, particular needs, space, habits, budget and work style.  You may show us your space virtually at this time if you wish. We ask alot of questions!

If you are physically challenged you may arrange for a work partner who will do the physical part of the organizing while you make the executive decisions.

      #2

Pick an area in your home that needs attention, preferably starting with an easy area that is not riddled with emotional or vital life impact such as the linen closet or utensil drawer.

Gather bags and boxes for: “to keep”, “to relocate”, “to donate”, “to trash”, “to recycle”, and “to shred”.

Point your device camera at the space you will be working or explain verbally after sending pictures if you are by phone.

      #3

We will walk you through the sort, edit, assigning homes, containing and labeling stages of organizing by Room, then Zone. We’ll make a plan for your home coaching in behavior change: boundaries, separation, uniformity, labeling, file folding and more!

What kind of work is it good for?

      Virtual Organizing: How it Works
      • Digital Files
      • Storage units
      • Packing/Unpacking for a move
      • Collections
      • Chronic Disorganization
      • Brain based conditions
      • Neurodivergent/spicy
      • Productivity/To-Do Lists/Calendar

How long will it take? How much will it cost?

The time it takes to organize a space depends on the size and scope of the project, how quickly you make decisions about your belongings and life priorities and what level of organization is needed.

One average room takes about a day to organize.  An office maybe three or more if there are many files.

Basic medium sized closet: about three to six hours.

      Benefits of Virtual Organizing

      • Client has more autonomy/feeling of control over belongings and environment, beneficial for those who cannot tolerate change
      • Less intrusive/more private if there are home areas/items client wishes to remain unseen or if the client wants to have help at work without a professional coming on-site
      • Can be scheduled in the evening
      • Effective for brain-based challenges such as ADHD or other difficulties with cognition, emotion, socialization or behavior
      • More affordable eliminating travel fees
      • Makes professional home organizing services available if located outside Finely Sorted service area
      • Fixes that “squirrel brain” feeling

A four hour session will bring chaos to its knees!

Maybe you have a pantry needing attention, a wall of boxes to unpack in the garage, a guest room to ready?

Or maybe get the family photographs organized for the next gathering as this client decided to do.

“Finely Sorted, You’re amazing! I am grateful for your gifts. Thank you for spending the time with me and getting things systemized/organized. The better organized I am the more room I have in my life for better relationships. It’s about getting the junk, which is clouding up my mind and physical space out of the way so that I can be more present in life. I finally have a “foundation” and my energy is renewed;) I have learned so much from you that I will carry with me!”
